Cancer Products

The cancer market is growing at a faster rate than any other pharmaceutical market due to an ageing population in developed countries and more effective therapies being introduced. It is a specialist area with a small number of highly influential opinion leaders defining treatment guidelines. As such it is an ideal market for Protherics to develop and sell niche cancer products to capture the full commercial value of these products.

We have four products in development which aim to improve outcomes in the treatment of cancer. Our lead programme is Voraxaze™ (glucarpidase), an intervention treatment when methotrexate blood levels remain dangerously elevated following high dose therapy for the treatment of cancer.
