Protherics wins MediWales award for outstanding growth in sector

Last night Protherics received an award for outstanding Growth in Sector at the MediWales Annual Dinner in Cardiff. The award was based on the growth Protherics has experienced since the AstraZeneca deal and the contribution our company has made to Wales. Protherics was represented at the Dinner by Ian Scoular, Director of Business Development who accepted the award, and Peter Shears, Director of Quality. The dinner was also attended by Dr Brian Gibbons, Minister of Health for Wales.
Protherics to resubmit its Voraxaze™ BLA following FDA data request

London, UK; Brentwood, TN, US; 7 November 2006 - Protherics PLC (“Protherics” or the “Company”), the international biopharmaceutical company focused on critical care and cancer, today announces that following the submission of the Biologicals License Application (“BLA”) for Voraxaze™ to the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) in the US on 15 September 2006, the FDA has requested additional manufacturing data. As a result, Protherics has withdrawn the BLA with the intention of resubmitting once the additional data has been generated in 2007. Voraxaze™ is an adjunctive therapy for patients experiencing, or at risk of, toxicity from methotrexate (“MTX”), a widely used anti-cancer agent.

London, UK; Brentwood, TN, US; 18 September 2006 - Protherics PLC (“Protherics” or the “Company”), the international biopharmaceutical company focused on critical care and cancer, today announces that it has submitted a Biological License Application (“BLA”) to the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) in the US for Voraxaze™. Voraxaze™ is an adjunctive therapy for patients experiencing or at risk of toxicity from methotrexate (“MTX”), a widely used anti-cancer agent. Patients are considered at risk of MTX toxicity if they have impaired renal function, which can lead to a delay in MTX elimination, or have evidence of delayed elimination based on MTX levels.

Since Resolution 12 (giving authority to the Directors to issue up to 10 per cent. of the current issued share capital for cash, without having first to offer the shares to existing shareholders) was passed, Resolution 13 (giving a similar authority up to 5%) was withdrawn.

London, UK, Nashville, TN 17 January 2006 On 12 January 2006 Protherics announced that the licensing agreement between Protherics and AstraZeneca for the global development and commercialisation of Protherics anti-sepsis product CytoFabTM had become effective, following the expiry of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period in the US. This has triggered, inter alia, a 7.5 million equity investment by AstraZeneca in Protherics, in return for which Protherics will issue to AstraZeneca 10,990,621 Ordinary Shares (the New Ordinary Shares).

Following the announcement on 8 December 2005, of the licensing agreement between Protherics and AstraZeneca for the global development and commercialisation of Protherics’ anti-sepsis product CytoFab™, it is further announced that the agreement has become effective following the expiry of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period in the US.
