December 2006 Protherics’ raises £38 million to:
- acquire MacroMed Inc, a privately owned speciality drug development and manufacturing company based in the US for lead product OncoGel™ for the treatment of oesophageal and brain cancers
- in-license IP from Glenveigh Pharmaceuticals LLC for the use of DigiFab™ and GSK’s Digibind® in the treatment of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia
- in-license IP from Advanced In Vitro Cell Technologies for the use and co-development of acadesine in the treatment of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (B-CLL)


December 2005 Major licensing deal with AstraZeneca for the development and commercialisation of Protherics' anti-sepsis product CytoFab™ Protherics could receive $340m in upfront and milestone payments, in addition to a 20% royalty on net global sales
 
July 2005 Voraxaze™ Marketing Authorisation Application (MAA) submitted to EU regulatory agencies


September 2004 Transfer of the Porton Down research facility and out-licensing of early stage research acquired with Enact Pharma to two UK start-up companies
