To this end, Protherics, in 2010, will regain its marketing rights to two critical care products that it already manufacturers in the US: CroFab™, a pit viper antivenom and DigiFab™, a digoxin antidote. The revenues generated from these marketed products will help fund the development of a broad, late stage pipeline.
Protherics expects to have six programmes at phase 2 and beyond, during 2008. One of which includes CytoFab™, a promising and potentially valuable product for the treatment of severe sepsis, licensed to AstraZeneca. The pipeline also includes four novel cancer products in clinical development, which may provide Protherics with future growth opportunities.
In summary, Protherics has a strong, late stage and high value pipeline and is well placed to achieve its goals and to deliver superior returns to shareholders.
